2007 RMDiv Solo2 Summer Series

The Lotus Elise and 911 GT3 have dominated super-stock in national competition for the last two years, but the Z06 continues to reign supreme in the Colorado and Contintental Divide regions. For the second year in a row, I took the SCCA Colorado and Rocky Mountain Region super-stock class title. The C6 Z06 has proven to be at least as capable as the C5. Points average was up this season to a new high, despite the challenge of campaigning a…

2006 RMDiv Solo2 Summer Series

2006 RMDiv Solo2 Summer Series

After three years trying, I finally took the SCCA Rocky Mountain Division super-stock class title. With only a two and a half second lead after eleven summer series events, the door was open for any of several drivers to take the overall win at the 12th and final event. After watching a Lotus Elise defeat a Z06 at the national championships the previous week, I wondered if the same scenario could materialize in the rocky mountain division at our final…

2005 RMDiv Solo2 Summer Series

The 2005 SCCA Rocky Mountain Division Solo2 Summer Series ended last week. Season highlights were finishing runner-up in Super Stock, and ‘trophying’ in a national level event. The Denver National Tour was the first time in many years that the SCCA has held a national event in Denver. Compared to 2004, I climbed one position in super stock to #2, and from #34 to #22 in overall driver standings. Hope to crack into the top 20 in 2006. That might be…
