…I had closets full of servers, a half rack packed with 1u servers, and lots of CRTs.     And when software to easily and seamlessly create panoramas didn’t exist. This image was created by combining 32 images shot with an 18mm lense together in software to form the 360 degree view. Image registration points in overlapping shots were set manually.

The shiny pillars are a sculpture which sits in a sunken water fountain (now frozen) on the NE corner of the street. Took the photo just after sunset when many of the surrounding office lights were still on. Bill and I drove about 30 miles east of Denver tonight into the ‘plains’ to get away from the light pollution for some deep-space photography. A photo of the moon reduced to 700×465 resolution, with only 5% of the actual detail of the full-size image. Some of the more interesting regions at 1:1… Saturn, cropped and magnified… These were all shot by connecting the D100 via t-adapter to a Meade ETX-125 telescope which is equivalent to a camera lense with a 1900mm focal length.
